Account Executive: Website and Internet Marketing Sales
Do you enjoy the thrill of closing? This is a long-term career opportunity for B2B sales professionals in the United States (telecommute option available). We are seeking goal-oriented, results-driven B2B Account Executives that have a passion for helping clients capitalize on Internet-based marketing solutions.

Situated Research has had the privilege of providing usability and web design services for Fortune 500 companies. Our worldwide clients include Sony, Electronic Arts, McDonald's, and Disney. Our experts have graduate degrees specializing in delivering highly usable, functional and aesthetically pleasing websites for customers that want nothing but the best. Our edge in usability, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media have allowed us to grow our web design division.
Requirements
- Two years sales or marketing experience preferred (will consider those with less experience and a strong technology background)
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Psychology, IT, Computer Science, etc.)
- Ability to network and generate leads
- Highly motivated: a self-starter who possess a positive attitude and a desire to be part of a performance-driven environment
- An in-depth understanding of websites and Internet-based marketing, and an understanding of social media
- Confidence to call Senior Executives, Project Managers, and Marketing Directors
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills; strong negotiation skills
- Proven track record cold calling to open new accounts
Skills Needed
- Self-discipline, self-motivation and a positive attitude
- Ability to sell professional websites, Internet marketing and SEO: a basic understanding of these technologies is required
- Ability to generate leads within new industries, build out from existing leads and market segments
- Ability to strategize; gauge each customer's needs and wants
- Ability to schedule meetings (and be on time / punctual) with potential customers; follow-up frequently to ensure customer needs are met and all questions are answered
- Ability to effectively communicate customer needs to design team
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic computer / email / communication skills
Pay
Incentives for on-target earnings of $70k to six figures, uncapped. $120k per year average, plus incentives. We offer training to help your sales approach and to create inroads with potential customers.
