We are looking for a talented individual that understands both the back-end of Flash and the creative front-end as well. You should be well versed in ActionScript 2 or 3, and have a good design sense for designing Flash animation (tween classes, etc.). You should have a good working knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, etc.) so you can edit graphics, and then optimize them for Flash. You might be designing an entire website in Flash, or perhaps a banner ad or possibly even a small video game. The more capable and creative you are, the better. You should understand usability thoroughly, so you can make informed decisions about when Flash might be appropriate for a project, and when it might be a hindrance that distracts the end-user. Examples of your previous work should reveal clean, highly-usable designs rather than annoying, distracting abuses of animation.
Your own computer and copies of software (Adobe Flash, Photoshop, etc.).
We would first like to see some examples of your awesome design work. Code samples and a resume will likely be requested. Please send links to jobs@situatedresearch.com, with the job title in the subject line, or use the LinkedIn button below if you have a LinkedIn account:
Please include your rates. No calls or recruiting firms. U.S. candidates only.
The Interactive / Creative / Flash Developer position is officially provided by Situated Research, LLC.
